since you've had the struts done recently don't worry about lowering it for now. Maybe get some control arm bushings or a rear sway bar instead OR both if you want. Just remember to keep this a hobby and not a job.

I would suggest going with 20% tint. 15% is pretty dark. Even the 20% bothers me parking, sometimes it's hard to see curbs if the lot isn't lit with lamps.

You can check out my cardomain pics to see how the 20% looks on my car. (check my signature for link) I have 20% on the side and 35% on the rear.

Whats the window tint laws for where you live? Here in Maryland the limit is 35%. I go with 20s hoping that they can't tell the difference, and 35% in the back for any cops that get behind me. So far so good. The one time I've gotten pulled over since, cop didn't say anything bout my tints.

Alright finally, after many hours and messages back and worth, I took off the grille. Nobody freaking told me that I am supposed to pull it towards me. I though that I was supposed to pull it up lol.

So this is how it looked before sanding.

Image
Now I sanded it down with 360 I think.

[Image
I screwed up and sanded the bars by accident. crap, lol any suggestions how to fix them?

I am using the primer before sanding it again and painting. I am using standard spray paint. Could you give me any warnings about the spray paint? I have never used it before lol.

So what do you guys think?

EDIT: I am painting it black

360 grit is a tad aggressive isn't it? because it would show the direction/cuts through the paint. So with that said, grab a can of FILLER primer.

2nd. is the grill plastic? .. if it is- use something like Krylon Fusion for plastic since that's what a lot of board members use for interior plastic pieces plus i don't really know what "regular spray paint" entails? .. LOL.

3rd. get a small pack of 1000 grit sand paper for more sanding..

4th. Remember, prep is everything!.. poor prep and it'll be a poor paint job.

so go..

1. Wipe down
2. Primer
-- dry --
3. Wipe down
4. Primer
-- dry --
5. Sand (1000)
6. Wipe Down
7. LIGHT COAT: LIGHT EVEN COAT so it sticks to the primer while it dries.
-- dry --
8. LIGHT COAT: I CANNOT STESS THIS ENOUGH
9. Sand (1000): Make sure you get the major corners because that's where prep is overlooked and adhesion could be a problem.
10. Wipe Down
11. Spray away!

Thanks. How long do I have to wait between sanding after using the primer? And how long between spraying paint?

Edit:what should I use it whipe it down? Just a wet cloth?

they say tack rag.. but thats kinda overkill- so use a microfiber.

about the dry time, - probably 20mins or so for both paint and primer depending on the weather.. except the final coat.. that you leave alone for a couple hours.

Check the label on the can and do whatever it says to do.
The instructions we give you are universal, and you know
how universal stuff fits. Know what I mean? ^He is right,
but--don't forget about the instructions on the can!
Trust me, I'm a technician.

Looks like your on your way w/ the grille. Good to hear you decided against a mesh grille. That would look a tad cheap IMO. Sounds like your basically looking to VIP your ride. Since your rocking the silver, I'd suggest either a Gunmetal or Black w/ Chrome lip rim for your ride. And like others have already said, lower it before you throw on any rims or lip kit. Also, i for one, am not really a fan of the color amber lol. So i replaced my signals in the back with clear replacements and will do the same w/ my front signals here soon once i replace the amber corners w/ clear ones. Also, tint those tails. I just got mine finished. I'll post a pic on here for ya. Other than that, only other thing i can think of that i didn't see you mention were HID's. Most people round here say 4500k, 5400k or 6000k max to get the best look, and anything past that will have poor output. I myself am just gonna settle w/ some PIAA Halogens Crystal White w/ SLIGHT blue tint.

Here are my tails...

Hey quick question, I sanded the bars on my grille by accident.

Do you guys think I should sand down the bars compelty then? Or is there any way to fix the scuffs on the bars?

I am painting the grille all black.

just sand the bars like the rest of the grill...prime it and just take your time between coats...give it 20 minutes dry time instead of 5. This is to make sure you dont get wrinkle or cracking paint

Sorry for my questions, do I also sand down the inner part of the bars, meaning the front and the sides.

tell me what to do about sanding down the bars. I am about to start painting the grille today and I need advice.

Do I sand them all the way, or just the front?
