KABOOM!

shoot man.... sorry to hear that...

My car isnt boosted, but that damned auto transmission.... grrrrr I dont get it swapped to 5 speed, cuz my Fiancee' is afraid to learn.

I'm about to take it in and have the timing belt replaced, with camseals, and such.... I did have a question, what else did you notice prior to the big boom?

Leaking antifreeze? Jumpy engine?

I think I might have a leaky radiator... but I'll have the mechanic take a look when he does the timing belt, I may also have to hit Gabe up for them upgraded motor mounts, I think my front is done... and once its on a lift, I'll check my fabbed rear mount, to see how its dealt with my maniacal driving.

On a good note.... get a 3MZ block, port the heads, and call it a day.... <- if I had the funds....
Geeks get it done, while Nerds whimper and call for mommie.

^ No signs beforehand. It was kinda all of a sudden catostrophic (sp?) failure. Just a little power loss is all I'd think.

Single Component Octane Booster Calculator:

17 gallons of 93 Octane mixed with

1 gallons of Xylene

will produce 18 gallons of 94.3333 Octane fuel mixture
so 1 gallon & 4 oz of the oil will work well........... :drinking:

I'd have to refuel every 1/2 tank because refueling on "empty" is asking to eventually be stranded somewhere. Seems like this would be hard to keep up with when you're car is daily driven. On the other hand, if the meth kit will allow me to run 93 safely in the event I can't refuel with 94 or better octance then I'll still be safe. Please confirm this.

i think as long as you set the meth to ingage at 65% of full throttle, & dont hotrod the >>I'm a douche<< out of it, it should be ok, & if your giong to go race, then put the xylene in, all i know is ive never blown a knock sensor in my balck lara, i still have the stock ones, & thats with 6psi no meth, and drove the >>I'm a douche<< out of it at the race track & street, thats because ive always ran 94.2 octane since i went to 6psi, now that im at 7psi i installed the meth, with the 94.2 octane, & still havent blown a knock sensor, the secret is more octane................... :drinking:

Wow, sorry to hear man. What settings were you running on the safc? I never had any problems at 6psi with the supra injectors and 93, but I don't run all that hard very often. Meth injection should help.
