smoked my tail lights and need feedback

u shoulda smoked out the bottom (clear) part not the upper (red) part. I've seen some 99-01 Civics with their taillights smoked out (the clear part) and they look pretty nice. If I drive a black Solara, I would do it in a heart beat.

Smoking out the red and leaving the clear was a good idea.

I was thinking about red and smoke but our lights will not look right. So the best option was what I did and it was smoked and clear i didn't like all smoked.
