Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

340 whp???

Even if he posts a dyno sheet I won't believe he got 340 whp with those mods. Scans can be edited. I have many more mods than that and so do plenty of other people and nobody else has close to 340 whp. -JoeB

I don't think anybody doubts that his claims are total BS. 340 whp, even with a conservative 15% drive train loss, translates to about 400 hp at the flywheel. Without serious bottom end upgrades, I don't think that the 1MZFE engine could handle that much power.

:o I agree. Maybe he forgot to mention a NOS system he has installed. Of coarse you will beet a corvette with that much power (340). Let me tell you it is hard to beet a corvette! Either way. Why buy a car that has been raced out? You get a Solara; you want it new and hook it up yourself! This way you know what was done with it. Never buy hooked up cars unless you do it up yourself.

Rod Millen created a 500 HP celica but its totally gutted and custom engine. If this guy did not alter fuel, or cams. It is extremely hard to believe. I highly doubt his dyno is sincere. Only way to find out is to check it in person. Anyone going please respond with the truth! :drinking:

1ATM is 14.7

Not all 4cyl are 11:1

The 1MZ is 10.5:1 but that is only true at sealevel. At higher alt the pressure goes down, also thats why people in higher alt can run higher than 6psi safely.
