Get the V6...

Postby mcgervey » Mon Jun 28, 2004 6:31 am

Besides the fact it's cheaper and has more options, it's just a lot more car for the money due to the power alone. And at 60K+ it's not exactly high mileage either, unless it's an 02 or newer.

I'm still tickled with my SEV6, and just got back from another 600 mile jaunt. This time I had a bright yellow GTI challenging me at some point on the interstate. He lost, handily. Cranked it up to 125 briefly and he wussed out after 110 or so and disappeared in my rear view. I would have kept going to see what I could get, but the girlfriend was uncomfortable.

I don't think he had the VR6 though, so probably wasn't much of a challenger.

How many miles per year you plan on adding. If its anything like me (close to 35K per year) then i'd say get the 4banger - it will be cheaper on the gas. BUt if its less, then get the v6. Good Luck.
