bought my 2002 Solara in September 2002, it's the best time to buy by the way, dealers are interested in clearing out the current years models
to make room for the next years, in my case they were making room for the 2003 models.

My car was advertised in the paper brand new for 17,995, which was the price after a 5000 rebate. They only had 5 to choose. I got there and the dealer had 3 left, candy red with beige interior, white with beige interior and the one i got which is white with dark interior. I drove off with 10 miles on it.

The price of the car, tax, an extended warranty and a dealer installed alarm I paid 23,400. My car is the 4 cylinder, it has the sport package, which includes the spoiler, sunroof, foglamps and 15" alloy wheels pretty basic although most cars dont have the sunroof and spoiler. I also saved 500 bucks because the dealer forgot to add the cost of the "diamond white paint" which he was going to add until i asked him to save me some kind of money, apparetly this paint is different from the other colors. I even got free oil changes for life as long as I use their Toyota service department besides, for a new car i wouln't realy trust anyone else.

2001 Solara XLE, Silver, V6 leather interior etc. Cream puff, 32,000 miles, bought from Toyota N Hollywood in February '05.

my wife talked em down to $15 K out the door. She loves it but thinks the seats dont go back far enough for her long legs so she may give it to me (!)
