Yeah it's pretty easy.

Unscrew two top screw, rip out the cover. Dont worry, you wont damage anything. Pull from the bottom.

Unscrew a bunch of screws (4? I forgot how many). Two on top and two on the bottom. Slide out the cluster with the bottom sliding upwards. As you pull it out, push up the cluster so you wont hurt anything on the reverse-side circuitry.

If you opt to work on it without those 3 sets of cables, you can disconnect them without worries. If you've worked on computer hardware, they would be nothing different for you then.

You should notice there are 4 big green twisty things hehehe. Those are the bulb holders for the 4 168 (194) bulbs. Once you twist them and pull out, you can change the bulbs there.

If you get a little more curious, you can twist and pull those little ones too.

Personally, I wouldn't go modifying the bulbs. After exploring the cluster and experimenting on the bulbs, I have decided to just go with Indiglo gauges. I just bought one on ebay and it should arrive this week.

Good luck!

I have reverse indiglo gauges and I had to take out some of those bulbs because they made a nasty backlight effect at night. I could see light coming out and it looks sloppy, like light trying to creep out from behind the gauges.

Oh really? I wanted to get the reverse indiglos too but after seeing the pictures, it kinda discouraged me. Yes, it looks way better than the normal indiglo at night but during the day the reverse indiglos look like white-faced gauges written with pentel pen. The blue and red colors and the lines are just crooked. I don't know why they couldn't make it look professionally done for the day setting. Am I wrong and just being a fool for believing those pics? Let me know...

Just to warn you all, LED 168 (194) have a more concentrated or focused beam. That mean if you put it in your dash or gauge cluster, it will emit a brighter blue but for a narrow space. If you use the normal bulbs, you get a dimmer blue (compared to LED) but a wider area is lit.
