Window tint

Window tint

Postby mox » Mon Aug 02, 2004 7:21 pm

I will get my window tinted next week
13% for the rear window and the two little on the side
33% for the doors

That will be really dark

Anyone have a similar window tint on his car? Is it too dark?

Can someone post a pict of a red 1st gen solara with a dark window tint ?

Thanks

33% really isnt dark at all, you will wish you went darker.

I have 20% all around and I have no trouble seeing out at night if that is your concern. Click the WWW on my sig to check it out, but the white exterior with charcoal interior makes it look even darker.

In most states it is illegal to have ANY tint on the driver/passenger windows.

Your tint is really nice

The 'problem' here is that front doors windows haves to be 50%... 33% is illegal.. imagine 20%

back glasses can be 0% but I want to see trough them.. so 13% is really good

I have 12% all around and I love it. Still decent night visibility and it looks great on my green Solara.

Yea that really isn't too dark. I first tinted my windows 13% all around and you could still see inside pretty good. After I tinted my windshield 35% I got the perfect look that I wanted 8)

I've got a red solara with 20% all around it. I'm getting 5% on my side windows next week though so you can't see in through the side windows. I'm leaving the back window 20% so I can see out the back still. I have the tan leather, so that makes the tint look a bit lighter than a dark interior would. You might want to take that into thought too.
