I'm running a stock tire setup on a 2001 and was curious what all you guys run.

I know I could read in the book but I know people often run less than what the users's manual says.

it depends on what tire you have.

some max psi go from 36psi all the way to 51psi.

in the summer, keep it lower as heat makes air expand.

in the winter, keep it higher as cold makes air more compressed.

do not go with what is on your door if you have replaced the tires before.

35 RL---\--- 40 FL
40 RR---/--- 35 FR
Only because of one tire that is very hard to balance and I have to keep it on the rear right to avoid shakes in the front.

Oh heck yeah it made a heck of a difference in my Xterra running an extra 5lbs in the summer when I'm only doing highway driving.

The rule of thumb is for every inch increase in wheels diameter, add 2-3PSI to the stock pressure and don't exceed the maximum pressure shown on the tire.
