I don’t suspect it to be any other components because I have replaced
almost the entire system recently.

•Master Cylinder
•Brake Booster
•Rotors
•Pads
•Flush/fill Fluid

I was also curious if anyone else was having this same problem.
I’ll top of fluid tomorrow but I’m still wondering what’s up with the brakes.

Toped off brake fluid helps, but still kinda a gradual stop.
you guys think SS lines and better pads might help.

I think better pads would be a huge help. I don't have experience with SS lines on our cars. I know they can make a big difference on certain cars though.

OP, was it like that before you did the brake job?

I dont care for my brakes on the Solara much, they seem to not work very well when under emergency braking, its like they are fighting back on me, like they dont want to go down.

Now the pathfinder, that thing will stop on a dime, its crazy.

This reminds me of a friend who thought her brakes on her Mercedes were too strong, and she was driving at about 70 in a 30, and thought her car would do a front flip if she slammed on the brakes for the stop sign, so instead she whipped the wheel to the right to "slide out in the grass" and instead she flipped multiple times, and hit a tree sideways.

I am really surprised to read so much talk about the Solara's poor braking capabilities on this forum. It seems to me that, where so much time, energy, and money is spent on excessive mods and even unecessary ones, to be resigned to poor braking is insane. Brakes are fundamental in the working of any car. If I were not satisfied with my brakes, it would be the first thing I would modify. As it stands, I am very pleased with mine.

I did the es300 brake swap and stainless steel lines on all 4 corners and I could not be happier with my brakes. I drive a gen 4 Camry but it is the same components as the Solara.

I'm also running the hawk HPS pads.

A few people have been behind the wheel of my car and i never heard any complaints, they dont feel especially sporty, but they dont feel bad either, they just feel normal to me, my car has new rotors and pads, all else is stock, and when i really want to step down on it they will put the ABS to work :)

Wit SS brake lines, the pedal feels stiffer.

Ok I remember this post, funny the things you come across searching. (It would be funny if I wasn’t pissed about my car)

Got in another accident so I revisited why the brakes suck!
I just finished installing
Drilled and Slotted Rotors
New Ceramic Pads on all 4
Flushed out the entire system a few times (fluid is clear now)
New SS break lines
Adjusted pedal height and free play

I did all this because the brakes suck! It doesn’t stop that well at all I’ve been in three accidents this year all happen because I need like 100 feet to stop.
Any thoughts on what else to do, brakes still not stopping that well, about the same as before
