where can I get a used knock sensor? I tried the junk yards over here and some of them never even heard of a solara? Any info would be great. My buddy has an inspection and he wants to pass it without disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU. Thanks :o

How about a Camry. ^ They will still pull a code if he disco/reconnects the battery. The code is stored until it is cleared properly. Also he might not pass the sensor readings result.

you would have to find a car that hadn't been "disassembled" yet... some of the yards down here don't keep small things like that... they just keep the big things... I had to call and get them to get all the parts I needed for a swap...
Parting out my car!!! great upgrades for sale!

Also, just clearing the codes can get you into trouble, at least in Illinois. The computer must also have the codes reset for certain monitors which is accomplished by driving your car "x" number of times and at certain speeds. So be careful. Even though you have the problem fixed and the codes cleared, you could still fail if the monitors are not set.
