OK I recently got the CEL for "evaporative emission control". So I did a search and found out about the gas cap. Went out got a new one pulled the negative cable and it just came back today (2 days later) any ideas guy? What do I need to fix this?

Did you get a (in a voice sounding like God) "Factory Authorized Toyota" cap? I had the same problem with my 98 Camry, got a cap from the dealer, erased the code and the problem did not happen again...Thing is, I don't know how much of a difference a non OEM cap would make if it fit right...
