replacing dome light bulb

Postby jbn19431938 » Wed Sep 15, 2004 1:23 pm

I may be incredibly stooooopid, but I cannot seem to get the lens off the dome light to replace the bulb. There is a slight notch at one end of the lens, and I assumed a small scrrewdriver inserted in that notch would pop the lens off. NOT SO! I do not want to force things and creat a mess. HELP!

I find it difficult to replace those with a simple flat head screwdriver. I've used a stainless steel butterknife, and its worked for me...But be careful.

hmm, you tried prying it right?

how about pry little by little in each area where there is a small gap to insert your screwdriver in.

I used a knife since it's thinner.
