hey, does anyone know for a fact that we could program the key ourselves?

Because I recently just order the key, knowing I have to program the key.

The dealer say it not possible to programming it myself, but after reading the forum I just wanna clarify something before making a final decision.

They say all this crap about using a programming and crap. I appericate if anyone could help with this issue?

You can program both the new transponder key and the remote.
The key is a series of gas and brake pedal presses and the remote is a series of lock and unlock switching.

I got both my remote and key from someone on Ebay and they supplied me with instructions. I no longer have the instructions, but you can do a search and find them on these boards.

I almost fell dead laughing. They are trying to jack your money. Its so easy you can even program the new key in when its not even cut yet.

Most of those places use templates to cut their keys and may not be ablt to cut a transponder key. Save yourself some time and take it directly to a locksmith. They have the correct machine to cut it. I took mine to Sears, Walmart and Home Depot. None of them had the old school cutter that could duplicate my key. My local locksmith which was a lot closer to home did it for $3.00
