I use Toyota Red; I think some people earlier have indicated that prestone Ornage (GM DExcool or likewise) was alright. As soon as my current statch is over i'm going pink...YES Toyota pink...Toyota has been using Pink coolant on newer cars, its got double protection properties (lasts twice as long) as the toyota red.

^^^^^ Yep thats what you have to use. . . I'm using water wetter right now w/ coolant. The temperature is still the same because the cooling system is good already. Some of my other friends have to use it because their cars over heat and when they add water wetter in the overheating never happens again.

What about prestone's 50/50 coolant, the greenish yellow stuff. What do you think about that?

That stuff isn't ok for us because it doesn't have special lubricant that our water pump needs. We can use Toyota Red Coolant or Prestone Orange

Yup...

I use the Toyota red coolant. And instead of Redline Water Wetter, I use the Royal Purple-Purple Ice. I see no dramatic changes, just as StockSolara implies with the Water Wetter. :D

When your engine gets hot and the water w/ coolant goes through it will bring heat out and disperse it into the radiator so the heat maybe released into the atmosphere. After awhile when the engine gets too hot it will make hot spots because water has high surface tension than vapor bubbles will appear. When the vapor bubbles attaches to the water's suface area which means it will have less surface to release the heat into the atomosphere which conclude less cooling to the engine. When you add Water Wetter it will reduce the vapor bubbles size and surface tension dramatically so then it will beable to cool better when your engine gets extremely hot.

I was just wondering how much it costs to get the coolant changed? Because i changed my coolant and flushed radiator for like $50. Is that a ok price?
