Just Wondering?

This is probably the dumbest question ever, but anyway. Where do you guys jack your car up? I know you have to do it on the frame. But underneith it was a little different than my camaro. I am new in the solara world and i jacked it up for the first time today. I looked in the owners manual to see where they say to do it. And it says to jack it up where the part of the frame is very thin. (Its kindof hard to explain in words, but hopefully you know what area im talking about) It just seems like that small of area could not support the car without bending or crushing the bottom part of the body. I did it anyway and it worked fine, but is the a better place to jack it up? To me it just didnt feel safe and it makes me a bit nervous being under the car.

Actually I jacked mine up with them big car jacks (not the one from the trunk) and it wasnt good. I putted the jack right where you would put the one from the trunk at the place where it told me to put it. When I jacked it up, it bented that part of the body frame on the car. I usually would jack it up from the two main steal frame bar under the car. But being a dropped car, my jack wont reach there. Those points where the trunk jacks would go are the lightest point of the car. Reason is how the car shift its weight when you jack that point of the car up. Only jack it with something that wont bend the body frame

Yeah I was wondering about that. I did the same thing you did but i was more fortunate not to bend anything. I bet if i were to keep doing it, it will.

Also i read the other post, i understand what you are talking about were to lift the car at. But what about where you should place your jack stands? I think if you put the jackstands were the owners manual tells you to do it with the trunk jack. Is still too week for the jack stands. Wont it still bend those rails?
