Ok, here it is, I have had my tokico/tein combo on for about 2k now, When I did the job I replaced ALL the mounts and all the struts and springs. I have developed a knocking noise only in the rear passenger side thats it. So I disassembled the entire assembly back there, yes mount and all, damn back seats, anyway, I looked it all over, the rubber butt plate is fine where the spring sits on the strut and the mount looks perfect, put it all back together thought it was fixed, ohh no, come to find out its only bad with weight, if I have a full tank of gas its bad, people in the back its bad, both its horible, what the heck could it be, its not my earings the wheel doesnt shake at all,, my friends all tell me it souds like its coming from behind them which would be around the mount area. I dont know what do you guys think.

oh, any one who has replaced rear mounts, when I pulled the mount out the rubber peice fell out of the metal peice but it shoved right back in there thats ok right, anyway later.

I think, is the bushing that little round metal peice about a half or more inches high that goes around the strut shaft and the nut bolts down on to it, if so then yes after reassembly I greased it.

Bushing is the plastic piece. That thing needs some heavy greasing on both the inside and the outside to prevent squeaking.

so obviously, this noise did not occur when you were stock right ?

there can be something wrong from the install or struts/springs itself.

ooooh i remeber now. When i lowering my 240sx i forgot to put back a metal plate on top of shock (sorry thats all i remeber) and i had a knocking sounds too. Later i reasoned The metal plate suppose to hold the rod and bump stop in place. I forgot how it looks now.... but i rember when i take it out again my lugs were almost strip and break, and all the rubber piece got tore out. So if i were you i would not drive it again until i figure out what happened. I knew someone actually had spring pop out while he was driving on freeway....

but anyway, my point is that you might forgot a part as well....compare left and right side and see if you can find the different.

Ok I cannot figure this out. It is d efinately affected by weight, if I have less than a full tank of gass and noone in the back it doesnt do it, get people back there it knocks on every bump. Also I have noticed this, if I take a turn even with no weight and hit a bump while turning it will slightly knock. Ussually a left turn. well thanks
