I was sitting in the parking lot and this lady slams the door of her F150 truck into my car. Loud thud!!!

She kept saying it wasn't that big and asking me personal questions (trying to make nice conversation) but I got her insurance number. I might not call it in if it's not bad though. It looks like a slight polish might get it off! Grrr!

Call it in, punish those dirty SUV people! I've had the same incident, and I'm still angry about what happened coz I ended up spending unnecessary $200 and never saw who did it. But I know it was a red SUV, coz of the paint it left and the height it dented on my fender.

there can't be that much damage $$ wise. you should get an estimate and call the lady, be a nice guy  see if she'll pay outta pocket. maybe i'm too nice, but that's what i'd do. i'd hope that if i hit someone else door that they would do the same

I dont know about you man, but don't let the "lady" fool your decision. Even if she was a nice lady, you should call it in. If it was a rude guy, I bet you would have called it in within 5 minutes of the incident. People are asking for equality in this country, I think you should do your part :evilbat:

Well, that may be true but I would have given the same amount of slack to a nice guy.

if this had happened to me i don't care if it was an 88 year old woman who was the nicest thing, an 18year old girl who was very apologetic, a 30year old man who was very polite and sorry, or a 21year old guy who was absolutely drop dead hot and nice..i wouldn't go through insurance..

now let's say it was the best looking guy but he was an asshole..forgetaboutit! i would report his sorry as* to insurance so fast.

i don't think it should have anything to do w/ gender..if she was nice and seemed to feel bad about it, i would just let her pay outta pocket. really, wouldn't you want someone to do that for you? think of how long she'll be paying that off for like a $200 repair through insurance...

i sound like such a goody goody, but this is just the way i view it

well that's a good idea but i didn't bother to get her home number. I guess I could always ask her agent for it. He probably won't mind at least contacting her for me.
