water injection cleans combustion chambers

This is NOT for performance reasons, only maintenance. I have been doing some reading on combustion chamber cleaning and came across a mention that water misted into the intake will clean carbon and other gunk off the engines internals. Supposedly cleans even better than seafoam! Has anyone tried this? I have one of those portable atomizers that sprays an extremely fine mist to cool you down on a hot summer day.

Plan to try this before the weekend along with my seafoam treatment. I would like to try misting directly into the TB but will the engine run if i remove the intake piping?

The car might won't run if it doesn't sense any air going through the MAF Sensor
