Techron says every 3k miles... seafoam says as neccessary or every 2k miles. It can't really hurt the car unless you use more than one bottle at once per tank (seafoam and techron, others may vary in amount). But I think it's overkill... I don't really know, so if anyone else has an educated opinion, I'd like to hear it :).

The only two worth using :P. Seafoam is the @ss-kickingly-best. Techron is ok, but Seafoam is the all out best. I've never used anytihng but the two and recently switched to Seafoam when I got my Solara, and I noticed a big difference. Search the forums for other people's views on it (most I've seen use seafoam).

Edit: Why is the word @ss changed to donkey? That's... well... no comment...

I do it. I had a CEL light. I was running lean. A tank full of 93 Octane and a bottle of STP and it went all away. :) 8)

Oh, same thing as STP, fuel injector cleaners, but Seafoam always works better for me than STP. Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone both have Seafoam for $5 per bottle (one bottle to a tank, put it in before you fill up).

Yeah, Seafoam took care of my lean running problem too, even after the new sensors it was a bit off, seafoam seems to have cleaned it right out.

Techron and Seafoam are both different formulas that clean out the fuel system just like STP but the difference is their formulas are much better. Seafoam on the other hand does more than just clean out the fuel system, you can use it to clean intake valves and the cylinders inside by letting it get sucked into the brake booster vaccum line. It can also be used to clean the oil crankcase department as well. Its a very powerful cleaning solvent which burns out deposits easily compared to most other chemicals. Plus its only like $4.99 at autozone.

Note: If you use it on V6 solaras through the brake booster line you will definitely get a CEL, but don't worry....all you need to do after your done with the treatment is to reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative terminal for a few minutes and reconnect it'll dissappear.

Good Luck,
Calvin

STP has two versions (at least what i've seen), there is one version that you add to every gas fill up, and then there is a concentrate version - which u add to every oil change; the latter is what i use religiously!

Ha!, my bad, they way you typed your message for some reason was confusing me. I was thinking that seafoam and techron were websites on the net that suggests when to add fuel injector cleaner. I never heard of either brand so i guess thats why i was thinking that. Everytime i go to autozone i only see stp on the shelf. I guess next time ill have to pay more attention and see if i can find the other stuff. Thanks everybody
