watered down purple power. Three parts purple and one part water. I use an insect sprayer, to spray my wheels and engine compartment.

As Jay said....Simple Green, towels, a toothbrush and water (preferably in a spray bottle). It's all you need and it's been proven time and time again.

My Engine is sooo clean.... You can eat off it! :D I clean it when I wash the car. It was clean when I got it, for being a used car 3years old w/10K miles.

Another product i've had success with is grez-off. Its made by spray nine and it works great. Just watch out because all industrial cleaners can discolor plastics

I use armor all on the plastic and hoses. and never dull metal polish on the metal. if there's rust or corrosion I use a wire brush.

Don't use WD40 in your engine bay. It's flammable.

Some engine cleaners like STP are flammable also, I had a little accident once with the first car I ever owned.
