don't know how much help I'm going to be, but with only about 1G to spend, don't know if spending it all in one place, i.e. on wheels, is the best bang for your dollar, but seriously do what you want, I personally dont't have any money to spend, so in the end it's just another opinion like all the others you'll find on this site,

good luck with whatever you decide to do

IMHO, $1K for rims and tires are going to involve compromises in ride quality, traction, and basic durability that you may likely regret later.

I'd wait until you have money for a higher-end product as I assume you're planning to keep this car for a while.

now considering i dont do much in the way of hard driving do lowend rims really reaveal a noticable difference in ride quality, and traction, (tires??)

i know they are not as strong/ will bend crack easier...

Honestly, in my opinion I think you can buy rims for a grand and the rim will work out fine. You can bend or crack any rim when you start dealing with a bigger wheel and low profile tires. I wouldnt go too cheap either cause you do want a decent quality product. I would just stick with brands you are familar with.

i'd save up a couple hundred dollars more and get a pair i'd like or atleast dont have to question. to be honest, the rims your looking at look pretty good , to me anyway. put it this way, youve saved 1k dollars already, whats a couple hundred more? or you could finance a small loan from your bank and do it that way.

what size are you getting? 18? be careful on quality..i've been thru a set of crappy 18's already, bent 2 wheels. spend the $ for a quality rim.

and..i dunno if the pictured wheels are the exact size but 18 x 8.5 may be okay depending on offset..18x9.5 is a no no

and one more thing! silver rims look fine, sometimes less is more. and everybody and there mother have the black/chrome lip rims. they look great but starting to get played a bit much. once you see it on "pimp my ride" or "cribs" it may be or about to be getting lame. or i just seem to see more black/chrome rims around here. dont get me wrong i love how the black/ chrome lip rims look, but you have to wonder, when is something played out and just another fad?

i think the one in your picture is ADR. they are pretty popular lower level rim company. stick with the age old rule that u get what you pay for. i have racing harts and they aren't considered high end, but decent. i paid about 1400 for rims+good tires. so its not THAT much more then what you are about to put out.

volks (rays engineering), works, advan..search around theres lots of "name brand" wheels...and they are usually worth the money. but be a smart shopper and search around for the best quality/deal..

trust me you dont wanna replace bent wheels, its a pain. there are people who ride cheaper wheels who dont bent their stuff..but its like rolling dice.
