How much oil does it take? How should i fill it, with the engine running?

If you just drain out the oil pan. . . it's only about 3 quarts. . . just fill it like how you would with engine oil. . . Before you drain you should drive it around so the oil will be hot so than it will drain better

o ok i thought i read somewhere that it takes like 10 quarts.

You are correct. It takes roughly 10-12 quarts for the transmission and torque converter. I would do a flush and refil.

If you just drain and refill 3 quarts, that is only 1/4 of the fluid and its not going to make much of a difference.
