I'm not sure what's on the Gen 1's, but in general, universal O2 sensors are classified by the number of wires going to the sensor. (Two, three or four) Of course, going with a factory sensors will be the easiest since there will be no wire splicing. (Naturally it would be the most expensive too.)

Getting them loose is the hard part. A cheap propane is a good investment.

OE cost me $135 ea, had it them installed along with some other work. Without installing them myself, I guess I'd recommed a crow's foot at a minimum. I have the part# at home if somebody doesn't come up with it sooner.

You should contact a toyota dealer and see if they can give you a part # because as far as I know the sensors are different depending on your vin#. You also will need to know which one is bad, I believe we have 3.
One is in front when you open the hood another is between the engine and the firewall, and there is another under the car .
When I needed one it was the one by the firewall it wasn't hard at all but I did get my arm and hand scraped and cut cuz it's a tight area in there.
I had it scanned for free at autozone and I went to the dealer with the code and my vin# and they sold me the part and told me which sensor was the bad one from the code I had.
To save myself any trouble I brought mine from the dealer and it cost me $166.00,the universal is alot cheaper (at least half) but I believe "you get what you pay for".
