Headed to school today, and was in the left lane.
Car was next to me, and was followin' to close to middle dashed white lines.
Freaked out and moved over and thought had some space and bam!!!! rubbed up the curb.
Then pulled over and checked.........
Now i got a big curb rash on my stocky front rim, in 2 spots.
Looks like a mild rach, but deep.
Can i get it fixed, or deal wit it like it is.

sux dude.... If its deep I don't see where you could fix it. I'd just buy a new wheel or better yet some new wheels. I would make sure that the tire/wheel are in alignment. If there are scruff marks, goo gone should be able to remove it for ya. It would be less noticable then.

I'd might swing by a better body shop and see what options they have for you. Depending on the cost of replacement and what it'd do to your rates, it might be worth filing an insurance claim.

Seriosuly, if I had a DWP Solara I'd be lookin over my shoulder every 5 seconds by now.

Anyhow. If it's not too bad I wouldn't worry too much about it, they're stock rims. I got my car used and apparantly the person who owned it before me was unaware that not only do you NOT HAVE TO run into curbs, but rather that it is frowned upon, and not good for your rims. That being the case, I'll cut corners I'm not sure of because it doens't really matter. Althoguh that's no longer the case since my lip kit install.

The wheel may be ugly now, but may be perfectly functional. You should go to your local wheel and tire shop and have them balance it (hell, do all four wheels) because you can be sure it is no longer in balance. It is possible that the rim could have warped, but you would feel that while driving. The guys at the shop will tell you if it is warped, but make sure you get it rebalanced! If you don't you risk uneven tire wear, and worse lack of control in panic situations.
A good metal fab shop can repair your wheel, or you could sand out the edges of the gash and polish them off, which should help to hide the damage a bit (if you are going to do this make sure you have it balanced afterwards).

Hope this helps!

PS: are DWP's high theft now or something?

Not theft, but some owners have experienced unforseen financial woes.
