Thunk noise?

Postby Nyyankees3511 » Thu Oct 20, 2005 5:44 pm

Hey guys i notice when i go over some bumps, it really depends, but i hear a thunk noise coming from the rear. I thought maybe it was the spare tire but its not. What could it be? Theres no noise if i press on the rear of the car at all?

Just so we're better able to help you in the future, could you please be more cognizant of your use of commas, periods, and question marks? It'll help people understand what you're trying to say.

Now back to your question: Do you feel a stiff "jolt" from the rear as you go over bumps?

Sorry about that SPF. I was in a hurry. Back to the topic, what do you mean by jolt? Like a instant push up? If thats what you mean then no. It doesnt happen all the time, its mostly when both wheels hit a bump at the same time . Thanks

I have the same clunk. I think it is because of the Whiteline RSB :meh:

Push up on the muffler and see if it makes the sound.

If I had something hitting something else on my car, I'd get it looked it. Things like this rarely get less expensive to fix as time goes on and a suspension issue could be a serious problem.

I sometimes hear the same "clunking" sound, but it comes from my front passenger side, when I hit ceratin bumps. And I'm on BRAND NEW suspension parts...
