How much would a replacement motor mount cost? This is for a 99' Solara v6.

And this would be for the metal clicking sound whenever I go over bumps and my friend said it probably is the motor mount.

True?

more like struts... or upper strut mounts.

a motor mount would be when you pound on the gas, the motor would rock hard
and you will get more wheel hop as well with bad mounts.

did you put lowering springs on? if so, its probably the struts. try standing outside your car, and listening when you push down and pull up on the wheel well... it might do it then too...

I had (perhaps) the same problem. The guys that did my lowering said my "strut hat" was loose, and tightened it, but if it came back, they said I should replace it. I checked for loose bolts everywhere I could before I took it in, but I don't know where the strut hat is. I imagine it is beneath the cover on the top of the strut, B/C I tried to turn the 3 bolts that hold the strut on, and they were all solid.

its the piece that has the 3 studs on it, with the 1 big nut that connects to the strut.
