Looking for good source of TRD parts (rims)

Hi,
My first visit here. Cool little board. Especially enjoyed the picture section. I have a question for all in the know. I have a 1999 Solara TRD. Bought it used last year. One of my rims is a bit deformed and it creates a bit of steering wheel shimmy while driving. Now I broke a tire on that same rim (hit a sidewalk, I know, stooopid....). While I change the front tires I might as well replace the rim. It's a standard 17x7 stock TRD rim. Just like the one at this link:

Is romaniatoyotaparts.com a good place to shop for it? I noticed that they don't list single rims, just the sets, and they're closed today (Saturday). Who else sells these? Maybe somebody here got a single rim for sale? Thanks in advance for any tips.

It's best if you buy the rim from any other wheel place that carries the TSW Revo. If you didn't know, that's the real name of the 17" TRD rim. I guarantee you will pay less if you buy the TSW Revo through a wheel distributor rather than Toyota. The only thing TRD about the wheel is the custom center cap that TSW made for them. Nothing else. Oh yes, and the special +42 offset. Make sure you specify that.

Good Luck!

Thanks a lot. In this huge rim market it's near impossible for someone like me ( not a raging enthusiast) to find an exact replacement. You saved me a lot of web browsing and many phone calls. Possibly some serious dough too. Thanks again Flipside.
Boards rule.

Oh yeah, check the Garage Sale sections as well. Sometimes people part out their old rims and sell them seperately if they have extra or something. Worth a try.

Good Luck!

i bought my wheels this way (through a wheel distributor rather than TRD). i never specified any offset (didn't even know what that was), all i said was i wanted 17x7 revo's for my solara. what happens if you have the wrong offset?

If you aren't rubbing, you don't have a problem. :) I'm guessing they gave you +40 which fits fine. TRD specified +42 when they made their contract deal with TSW for clearance purposes.
