Hey bro, thats totally up to you. Sounds OG for a solara, in that I never heard of anyone getting a fat emblem embedded in their trunk. I've seen it on an Audi S4 and it looked propper (atlesat when the trunk was opened)... But if thats your thing - handle it, then post some pics and open urself to some positive (and maybe some negative) criticism.

I think it'll look pretty good. I've thought about doing that with my car. Just go with what you want as it's all preferrence. That's what I love about tuning cars, is just doing something and then people looking at it going damn that's sharp so you don't even have to go "HEY PEOPLE LOOK WHAT I DID!" Then again people may not like it. I say do to your car what you want, and if others don't like it, eff em cause you love it.

For the most part what I'm trying to say is the opinions here are only about 10% as important as yours... afterall, it is your car.

Well, I personally think it wouldn't look great, but that's coming from someone with a Indigo blue paint. With the black paint with black emblems? That would look awesome, just because it would blend in and people wouldn't see it from far away but would appreciate it from up close.

You could purchase and don't just put it on right away, get some sticky tape or something and stick it there and see if you like it. If you don't, return it. Or take a picture of your car and paste it on with Photoshop or something and see if you like it.

I personally like having a completely shaved back. Everyone is always like, WHAT IS THAT CAR! IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.

When I first saw the Solara's (near my neighborhood everything is stock, the only mod is tint..) they looked like old grandfather cars or girls cars but having it shaved helps because I personally didn't like the cursive writing, sort of girl-ish you know? Then they now don't know my make or model which is pretty nice.

I've been looking to change the grill toyota sign though, w/out making it look obvious (taking off the chrome and having a black toyota back emblem still there..) Any help? (sorry for thread jacking...)

i love the way solaras look with the trunk shaved. ive also been thinking about throwing the black pearl emblem on the trunk of mine, ive swaped for the black pearl for the "sle v6" emblems on the side and its looks clean. either way, i'd say gor for the gen1 tails first and then the black pearl. i'll tell you htis much, the shaved trunk looks much better with the gen1 tail lights. my opinion of course :D

do what pleases you. In the modding community, where ricers have tons of badging, i would want to distuinguish myself from my rear end being shaved.

I'm with Jai Jai... but if you want my personal opinion, I like the clean look (as in nothing on it). My solara has no emblems on the back, and I love the way it looks. Simple, uncluttered... and low profile.
