I don't know if it's loose, my guess would be probably yes. As for harm, it depends on the severity of the parts malfunction. I don't have much info to work with here, but I've never heard of this as a major Solara malfunction. I'd guess it's nothing big, but it's also limited info I'm workign with here. MY best advice is to just check it out yourself, if it's rubbing you should be able to tell, if it's comething else, just check bolt tightness etc. and see if it goes away. If you can't remedy it yourself a local tire/suspension place can tell you what's up. Then you can have them fix it or you can take another stab at it yourself.

loose as in unbolted or loose like the strutmount went bad? if its coming unbolted it could mess up the mounting place on the car, or break off the studs on the top of the mount, but if its just the mount it will just be annoying and cause the tires to wear awkwardly and be very annoying when driving on bumpy surfaces, its pretty common to have a bad mount on a camry or solara

I had a similar issue with my '02 Solara. I ended up just taking it to Toyota; the strut had gone bad, so they replaced it.

As for stripped bolts... drilling them? Perhaps vice grips?
