squeaky belts?

Postby hari-bhari » Mon Feb 13, 2006 10:47 am

in the winter months, especially recently, my engine is a little squeaker. its nothing shrill or severe, but i can hear some of the belts, especially around 2000 rpm when im inside the parking deck with the windows down. is this cause for concern? is there anyway to lubricate these easily?

Well if you have a V6 then spray the Anti-Squeak on the alt belt when the car is runnin' just 2 sprays for 2 sec each will do the job.

Its just the cold weather. My car has done that a couple times this winter. Come to think of it, the squeak went away without me noticing.

I say just rub some belt dressing on it. You can pick up a little pouch at your local auto part retailer.
