Powersteering problems.

Powersteering problems.

Postby TRDmonkey » Mon Feb 13, 2006 12:32 pm

I've seen to have problems with my power steering, it went out 2 nights ago and I took it home and let it sit and the next morning it still didint work at first, then after like 5 min it came back. Then after like 15 min later it went out again. I was going to get new tires and an alignment (but i couldnt get the alignment) and when i got there it still wasnt working. After the tires it was still not working and after about another 5 min it was working again. It has been working until this morning but I didnt drive it much and it went out again as i was driving home and i was moving the steering wheel back and forth and i felt it it come back. So what could be the cause of this problem?

Cliff notes: Powersteering goes on and off. What is the problem?

Yeah check you fluid reservior for the power steerin' [hopefully you know where it at]
If it still full check the lines if they're bad or what not.
If they're good, then the power steerin' pump is the problem.

Yeah, I've checked the fluid and it is fine. I kinda figured it was the pump but I just wanted to see your opinions.
