I always kick my babe to 5000 rpms, 1 or 2 times to 6k, is it kinda bad? It's an auto and with synethic oil ...only 4000k mileage.

as for life of the engine i'm not sure but ur gas mileage is probably gonna suck especially on an auto. 6k is kinda rough i would think considering we redline at 6200, but if its not all the time go for it.....we all gotta get the rush once in a while!!! Just be safe when u drive because pushing ur car that hard means u drive FAST!!!!

I would watch out when running your car to 5k ALL the time. It will not cause immediate damage, but that is extremely hard driving. You are also hurting your gas mileage. When you need to accelorate then you can floor it, but don't do it if you don't need to.

How often? if you do it daily, don't expect your engine to last without any oil leaks down the road.

Why would you push your car to 5k so often? Once in a while is ok, but on a daily basis...it's going to put a lot of strain on your engine/transmission and you'll experience problems a lot sooner than normal.

I didn't say OFTEN, i'll say around 3/10 ....and you need the power to pull yourself to that damn carpool lane in the RUSH HOUR, if you are on Highway 80 6-9am and 4-7pm, you will feel me. I was aware one day somewhere will be leaking, the transmission break down or something but sometime you have no choice to beat the trafific.

I just defend myself and also just looking for the comments on the question that I asked, not someone's opinion saying such as you can't drive a car.

Car is meant to be driven,
I think it's ok as long as you are not abusing it.
(i.e drag)

I would say everytime I found a ricer, or try to swerve around traffic.
I rev the eng. pretty good sometimes to below redline.
I am close to 60k, so far so good.

I wouldnt push it all the time however..there are instances where its irresistable to get on the car and make it perform. Just pay attention to all the other people's advice about gas mileage and stuff..
