Never thought this day would come

Never thought this day would come

I just got a phone call from my pops. He founded me a Honda Accord 5 speed. If Im correct Honda Accord 5 speeds Only comes in 4 bangers right? Its a 00 model and up so yeah. Im also aware that they get way more aftermarket support then the solaras do. He's picking me up to check it out.

I love my solara but I've learned that when you see your exhaust tip starts to built up black compound that the cars just way off. Ive tried allot of things to see if it would go away but My dad thinks my cars just going bad. I may push it now and then but Im not that stupid to hit race mode in it. The motor Im possitive is great condition, but electronic wise the cars off tune and little stock components just cant keep up to date on it. Im sick of spending alittle more just to find that its not right yet. My goal was just 240 hp flywheel and rare, Now Ive hitted 300 at the flywheel just trying to get little parts working. Beyond what I wised for. Never thought a supercharger would put me in such depth and buying nick nacks like intake and exhaust causes the car to go off and bam bam bam more money for other stuff.

I might loose my Favorite supercharge solara to a stupid POS honda. I tried to built a dependable daily driving beast but it didnt work out. If installing the injectors into my car doesnt fix the cel light problem, then the solara will be leaving.

I still honor everyone in this forum for taking such an impossible car and taking it beyond respect. I will update you on my choice soon.

Updated- I will be parting out the car withing the next week or so.
UPDATED AGAIN- 05 V6 accord manual tranny.

00 acccord only have manual for 4 banger. you are down grading yourself. you have shitload black stuffs on the exhaust just means it is running rich. you cannot accuse a car not reliable because you modify it. all you need to do just to mod it back to stock boost

Personally I think running at stock boost is good enough too. If you run your car at stock boost just keep the intake and exhaust, your car would still be fun to drive and reliable. I think you will be disapointed with a slower car which you will still want to mod.

Downgrading yes, But stock boost..............yes too. Thats the weirdo is I am on stock boost with everything upgraded and still runs Lean.. Not rich, lean. I even got Gabes help TRD4Life and yeah he admits too. And no the engine isnt screw up. Its in working order. Just components arnt working for my car. Its reliable as is, Just the CEL makes me paranoid.

The accord I dont mind if its a 4 banger. Too much car life for me and I think its time for me to retire and settle with my lovely Girl and life I already had before the sexy solara. Im too addicted to the car. (FYI, the accord is a 05 V6 with a manual trany)

The 05 accord v6's are like faster than most of the solaras on here anyways arent they? Dude, your car is hella nice tho, solaras are one of those cars you cant stay away from. If you get rid of it you're gonna think about it EVERY time you see one and its going to make you sad. Its kind of like when you have a fine ass girl that dumps you and you get with an uglier girl just so you have someone. Its just not as good. I think you should get the accord and keep the solara too!

Your new Honda Accord ain't bad, it is the V6 with manual. Its got 244 horses.

Good luck with your new car and don't be too disappointed about this whole issue. You achieved your goal in turning your Solara into a mad powerhouse.

You are all heart bro^^

Dat- for those who have been there done that- a cel is fixable if you research enough. Def don't blame the car or the parts you put in it.
Sounds like you really want release from the vortex you have created. Heh- I did the same thing with mine and I went to 6lbs over a year ago, though most of that time was cel-less I wanted release. I picked up a GS400 which has similar performance in stock trim. The mod bug will bite you on the Accord too. It has for me too with the Lexus. My goal is to stay away from modding a perfectly powerful smooth 300hp/310tq V8 and upgrade the handling braking and looks- try to do the same Dat with a great V6 manual like the Accord.

What a journey though huh?
