I have a 99' v6 solara and I think it needs a new clutch. It feels softer now and it moves at like 2500 RPM sometimes. is this normal?

If i need a new clutch. Which one would you guys reccomend?

My car has about 100K and its the original clutch.

Not so fast.. I traded in a '96 with 255,000 miles w/ original clutch, not like new, and a little soft but definately no need for replacement.

DAMNMMM!!! my clutch died on the exit of 101-N going to Bulleton to gamble!

Since i will be getting a clutch (god knows where) from becaus eiI have no choice now since its in one of Bulleton's mechanic shops. Will I lose transfer of power--horsepower because its not an OEM clutch or one of those SPEC stage clutches? Or will it feel the same?

no, just resurfaced...but it is wise to put in a lightweight flywheel while you have the clutch put in just for saving labor costs later down the road if you choose to upgrade.
