Water leaking inside...

Water leaking inside...

Postby Omes01SLE » Thu Aug 03, 2006 5:45 am

I went to my car the other day to literally find a puddle of water in the driver's footwell, as well as behind me in the backseat. The carpet is literally drenched - the water is not coming in from outside (as it has not rained in weeks), my beleif is that it is coming from the A/C unit somehow.

I don't know if the original water drain plug has been blocked and now the water is overflowing inside, but when I look under the car I can see the water droplets formed right under the driver/passanger side.
The other negative of this, is that I guess there are electrical wires running under the carpet and now with the water all my bulbs are shorting out!

Any help/info would be appreciated.
thanks.

check if it smells like radiator fluid, it could be that your heater core went bad.

Water

Well if it has not rained, it could not be the moonroof anyway. Coolant indicates a heater core leak. Real spendy. Water means the drain for the A/C is plugged. You can usually unplug these from under the car by running a coat hanger type wire through the tube to dislodge the crud plugging the drain tube.
