So my friend just got his new cayman s today and he has this cool feature on it, which i notice many other cars have. Whenever he goes to lock or unlock the car, the headlights and the reverse and/or the tail lights turn on and stay on for about 30 seconds or so. ive always thought that it was a realyl cool feature, i know many gms have it (yukons, escalades, etc.) I wanted to know if there is any way to do its. I thought about finding a way to wire into the dome lights inside the car because when you unlock the car, it turn on and after a little it dims and then turns off.

It was just an idea...

Thanks
Omar

I imagine there being a feature on aftermarket alarms, but I'm not too sure. The taillights seem like a better option, but that's just me because of the fact that the reverse lights only irks me in mall parking lots since it's still possible to back up without holding your foot on the brake (esp. stick shift where it's not as practical) .
