I went to get my emissions done and theyre telling me that the metal bracket that the connector should be in is there, but the connector isnt...

What color is it, should it just be a loose end (or is there something that stays plugged into it), and where can i find it?

The obd connector is under the dash/steering wheel.. its very easy to spot.. and there is no metal bracket or something, its just a plastic looking connection. The obd scanner just plugs into it.. doesn't snap or have anything to hold it in place.

What group of idiots did you go with to get your emissions tested? In almost all cars made to US standards, the OBDII port is always under the dash on the driver's side. Unbelievable.
