NEW Silver 2003 SE i4

Postby Steve526 » Sat Aug 26, 2006 6:58 pm

Hi all, I'm new to these forums and just yesterday purchased a 2003 solara se coupe 4cylinder in silver(AUTOMATIC :/ ). So far I disagree with most of the the threads here about it being very sluggish, 157hp stock isn't TERRIBLE, on the ride home it was quite enjoyable as opposed to my 97' civic ex (127hp).

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name's Steve and I'm 17 from NJ. Any tips for me as to parts to get for it? I know it's only a 4speed i4 but only a few small add-ons to get it up to maybe 180hp? Like cold air intake as one thing, any ones that work specifically well for it?

Thanks, and nice to meet you all.

EDIT: Here's a picture of it the day before I bought it.

Well, I couldn't get the image code to work, but that's it on my photobucket account. :)

EDIT EDIT: Just realized I posted in the wrong section. Sorry Admins, you can move it if possible!

welcome to the forum. I have the 2004 Solara, different body style but with the same engine. I agree with you that it hauls compared to the regular Civic models.

Unfortunately, there are not much aftermarket parts for your car. But there are a few:

here is the website that sells TRD items:

Enjoy your ride.

Yeah, a 2003 with 27,000 miles was an awesome find for me. It was a lease and only 9,000 a year :P

Does this mean you can order the TRD GE kit from them?? I thought you couldn't get it easily? It's not even that expensive when you add all the pieces up.
