That's nice... It's not too specific on the immobilizer, but it wouldn't be a problem if you don't have an immobilizer.

Well, on certain models of Solaras, there is a protective circuit that is on your key that prevents it from being started without a properly-coded key. One way to tell is that if you have a key with a larger black chunk of plastic at the base or if you have a blinking red light that says "SECURITY" in your tachometer dial , you have it. But if your key is just metallic and flat and you don't have the light, you don't have it and therefore should not be a concern.

I don't think it will work. If you are replacing the oem solara remote, the id #'s on the back must match in order for them to be compatible. Assuming this is a totally different id and frequency, I think you are out of luck. However, it would be pretty nice if it was compatible.
