Windshield Molding

Windshield Molding

Postby dbanker » Thu Feb 27, 2003 11:03 pm

I just got my windshield replaced a few days ago and the molding (I think that's what it is, it's chrome in color) isn't secure in a few spots and it bows a bit. What I can do to make it adhere to the windshield? The spots that are bowing away from the windshield edge move easily so I just need to find something to "glue" it in place. Any ideas?

take it where you got it replaced. they might have pinched the weatherstripping under the molding to make it stick out!

Why would they have this molding/weatherstripping or whatever it's called stick out on purpose? Doesn't make much sense to me. Again, it's the chrome lining on the very edge of the windshield that goes around the entire windshield.

I need to find a way to straighten the sections that are not secured/straight.
