i no my car came with a strut bar across the engine and i was wondering how this compared to most aftermarket strut bars.
my buddy with an accord just purchased one and he said he cood feel a huge difference in performance and i was wondering how the solara strut stacks up to others. thanx

The stock strut bar or any aftermarket strut bar for the Solara is primarily to reduce any chassis flex between the two front struts. hope this helps

Well first off, your buddy's feeling that it made a huge difference is probably mostly mental. Strut bars themselves dont make a huge difference in the handling of a vehicle. While they do stiffen the chassis and prevent roll, they dont make your car SCCA ready. On to your first question: The strut bar that came with the vehicle is just as good as any other one you could buy, performance wise. Unless you had any aftermarket one that also attached to the firewall, there should be no difference. Now an aftermarket one may look better but just stick with yours unless youre willing to pay some money for just some more apperance.
