My solara got rear ended :( UPDATED with pics

Yeah so i was on the beltline goin about 65 mph in moderate traffic when i find a chair in the middle of my lane like 50 yards ahead.. I didnt have enough time to change lanes so i hit the brake really hard and i come to a stop couple inches from the chair. the car behind me didn't have enough time to brake and rear ended me. no one got hurt, my muffler broke, rear-bumper is missed up, small dent on my hood and the floor of my trunk is bent up. there might be more hidden damage...

since my muffler will be replaced,, i wanna get an upgraded sport muffler.. any ideas? where could i get them.. would some custome exhaust work give me any more power/better sound??

I was in a rear end collision 6 months ago. All I can say is be very careful! Reason being, your engine probably rocked on its engine mounts do to the high G's on impact. Causing some damage to gaskets. radiator, coolant... etc.

This happened to me, and the other guys insurance agent didnt believe that a rear end collision could cause damage to the front of the vehicle. We fought it and they ended up paying for it in the end.

Short Story: I was doing 60mph and the guy rear ended me doing 80mph.

Also, I tried to have Toyota put on a TRD Muffler on instead of an OEM. They said it was fine, but they than called back saying Toyota doesnt make them anymore.

If the whole exhaust needs to be replaced ask for one by GReddy Insurance companies actually dont mind. If the price of the aftermarket part doesnt over exceed the OEM. GReddy Exhaust is around $500.00 & will boost hp gains.

Glad to see you're fine!!! There are many mufflers to choose from, but I'd say get the TRD if you can. I went with Magnaflow, because I love the deep rumble. Besides, I need a dual tipped muffler, which TRD doesn't make.
