Radiator Fans

Radiator Fans

Postby Akfahad » Sat Jan 06, 2007 12:42 pm

Guys, have a question for you. This has happened to me before, but never this long. I can't get my radiator fans to turn off when I remove the key from the ignition. Usually if it happens I'll turn the key to ACC then back off again and it'll go off. This time it won't work. Any reasons why? Any effect on the car if the fans don't turn off after a while?

There are a couple simple test you can do on the engine temp sensor. First at 68 degrees room temp checking with a OHM meter the sensor should show 2500 to 3000 ohms resistance.

Or remove the sensor put in a pot of hot water at 180 degrees F it should read 250 to 300. If either of test are not successful, replace the snesor.

Good luck.

just forward and left of the PCV valve on the left side of your intake manifold as you face the car.
