good OBDII software

good OBDII software

I'm looking for some good software, or something that can read and reset codes at the least. I currently have a laptop with software and cables for Fords and VWs, but nothing for Toyota. Does anyone have a good suggestion for cable and software for Toyotas? I don't need the fully featured stuff, and free software would be the nicest :D

no one, eh?

What does everyone use when they get a CEL? I did a little research and it appears that all foreign imports use a 9141 ISO standard for OBDII. That means that my VW softare uses the same protocol as a toyota.

if only I could just get software to do completely generic OBDII scanning for all OBDII compliant cars, I could avoid 3-5 software packages. That would make my life a little easier. :drinking:

Scan Gauge 2...
This is what I am using in my xB..

It lets you scan and clear CEL codes.
Best money I have ever spent....

Plus it also now lets me monitor my real time Water Temp, RPM, VOLT, Intake Air temp and tons of other things....

I used this to clear another member here who had a CEL...

Word on that! I've been a scanguage owner since the first model (and I still have it) that I recently bought (2) of the revised ones and now each of my cars have it. Best deal on a scanner/gauge system ever.
