Battery Problem - HELP

I have a 2002 SLE V6 with 66,000 miles. For the first 3 1/2 years there were no problems while I drove 70-100 miles per day. Since I don't use the car much anymore I have trouble starting the car. If the car isn't driven in 4 or 5 days it won't start and I'll need a jump. It's been brought to the dealer at least 5 times and each time they come up with another reason for the problem. First it was a loose alternator belt. Then it was a bad connection to the battery. Then it was a faulty switch in the trunk. Then it was the alarm system was removed because it was drawing too many milliamps from the battery. The last time I was told that I need to drive the car more often. All this from a Toyota Service dept. Anybody have any clue? Thanks. marcemarc2@aol.com

first off, welcome to SG.
second off did you ever try replacing it with a new battery at all?

^^ that's the 1st thing. Will the car start if you disconnect the battery for the time you don;t drive it?

Try using an ammeter between your battery positive (it actually won;t matter which terminal you use) and the wire WITH THE CAR OFF. you shouldn;t be drawing anything more than .1 amp or so (I'm guessing) If this is high start pulling fuses untill it goes away. Then trace it down that circuit...

I had a car that did a similar thing... I think I ended up pulling the interior light fuse to make it go away.

Also: is your battery clean? I've heard that there are some kinds of dirt that will conduct electricity.
