I had this fixed once but after couple of days it come back, when Im accelerating or braking I get this knocking noise from my front left side. My mechanic said that spring wasnt installed properly, and that now I should be fine and it was for couple of days, I have pretty new strut mounts, springs and shocks like 8K on em. Did any of you had this problem or have idea what this might be ??

sounds like a spring issue..
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

Do you hear a clunking sound when you hit bumps?

Ok well my car acted a little different but maybe check out your front upper strut supports. I know in the camrys from 97 to 99 and solaras in 99, toyota used plastic ones that fail and they fixed the problem in 2000 with metal ones. If your car is a 99 you may want to check that. I had that issue with mine.
