how to do it? i noticed that on The Alkimos solara, his center bar with the little "shark teeth" on it isnt there, it's just a gaping black hole. I figure that look is a lot cleaner than the one I have right now (stock front bumper) is there a way to remove it? i highly doubt it because it lookslike the "teeth" are integrated into the front bumper as a whole... just wondering how he got it done.
any info please let me know, thanks.

what i did on my camry was paint all of the vertical supports black- that way it gives the illusion of being open space but the teeth are still there for support. I wouldnt do it to the large horizontal bar, but it would work for the vertical ones. It especially makes a difference on a white car.

I think if you do a search, someone actually cleared out that whole area of "teeth", including the center horizontal bar. Don't ask me when and where because it was a long time ago.
This is the space where I should write something witty or clever, hoping to show some personality.

I seen it a while back this guy was selling his solara on ebay it was red gen 1 and he had a mesh grill on the lower grill I'm assuming it was all custom work cut the horizantal bar and add the mesh and have it custom fit it look good

But I wouldn't mess with it at least not yet maybe in the future

its funny how the times change. I had actually painted the lower grill on my celica (to match the body color - and today people are wanting to remove it or paint it black). IMO, it would look great black or blank if there was something there (FMIC). Here's a pic of mesa celica painted:

a body shop wouldn't have a problem with it...i mean you cut the chit off and i guess you could bondo it so the ends are smooth and repaint

Its as simple as that, just cut out the bar and shark teeth and use some body filler to fill and the holes. Then paint. But doing a good job would be the difficult part for some people.
