Traction control issue??

This has happened for a while, can't exactly remember when.. but basically when I push the Traction Off button by the cup holder, it doesnt turn off, I mean I don't mean or imply that I want to turn it off int he middle of winter or even in general, but I'm just curious as to why it won't work. Is there a fuse somewhere or?
