Need New End Links

Need New End Links

Postby xh0rnsb0yx » Sat Apr 19, 2008 11:50 am

so i finally figured out what exactly was making the clunking noise in the rear of my car. i took it to midas and the guy showed me that the passenger side rear end link is messed up somehow (sorry im not an expert on this stuff) but i would have to replace both of them is what he told me. they are 120 each plus labor unless i did them myself.

so my question -- does the trd rsb come with this piece? i figured that it woudl be an excuse for me to buy one or if not does anyone know where i can get this part for less than 120 shipped?

The TRD RSB only comes with bushings and instructions, as far as I know.

You can probably go to Auto Zone to find the endlinks.

try Napa Autoparts. I went to autozone when I needed them when I lowered my car, they never had them .

How much is he selling them to you for?

I remember paying close to $90 from the dealership when i replaced my springs/struts. I was real desperate and didn't feel like waiting to get them.

I paid 120 for 3 end links (so about 35-40 each) when i had to lower my car last year.

ok well i finally ordered em off ebay for about 53 bucks which is a steal since i almost paid 120..

but has anyone installed these on their own??

i want to do them on my own to save money on labor but im not really good at this stuff so would it be smart for me to do this on my own or could i screw something up easily?

It's really easy to install.
You just need a allen wrench, P.B. Blaster, and i think 12mm 6-point open end wrench.
Just raise the car equally for both sides, so there's no tension.
